- How to calculate the delivery cost
The cost of delivery services is calculated according to the parcel's actual weight or dimensions (volumetric weight). The greater of the actual weight or volumetric weight is used.
If the parcel's declared value or invoice value of the shipment* exceeds €200, a fee on the declared value is added to the delivery rate.
Actual weight
it is weighed at the branch to determine the shipment
The volumetric weight
Reveals how much space a parcel will require in a vehicle. It is calculated by the formula: Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) / 4 000
Calculation example
The construction set weighs 2 kg and has the following dimensions when packed: 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm.
Parcel weight calculation:
- 1actual weight: = 2 kg
- 2volumetric weight: = 30*30*30/4,000 = 6.75 kg
The rate will be calculated by the higher weight value – 6.75 kg.
* The declared value is the value of the shipment's contents specified by the sender for parcels delivered within the country or the EU.
The invoice value is the declared value of the shipment's contents, which must align with the information on the invoice and reflect the actual value of the goods. It is used to calculate customs duties, taxes, and other fees that may apply when importing a shipment into the destination country. - How to calculate the commission from the declared value or invoice value of the shipment*
If the parcel's declared value exceeds €200, a fee on the declared value is added to the delivery rate.
- 1Up to €200 is included in the rate
- 2Over €200: +0.5% of the declared value to the delivery rates
Calculation example
There are 2 parcels sent: a coffee maker and a construction set. A coffee maker costs €50, and a construction set costs €230.
A fee to be added to the delivery rate:
- 1Parcel with a coffee maker: no fee
- 2Parcel with a construction set: €230*0.5% = €1.15 to the delivery rates
* The declared value is the value of the shipment's contents specified by the sender for parcels delivered within the country or the EU.
The invoice value is the declared value of the shipment's contents, which must align with the information on the invoice and reflect the actual value of the goods. It is used to calculate customs duties, taxes, and other fees that may apply when importing a shipment into the destination country. - Who pays for
