Nova Post has launched its first solar power plant with a capacity of 1 MW
Nova Post's solar power plant (SPP) has a capacity of 1 MW and covers 5,000 square meters. This project is worth UAH 14 million, with an expected payback period of three years.
Shortly, the company intends to install industrial uninterruptible power supply systems and energy storage equipment to make its energy facilities even more efficient.
«Business is supposed to go on under any conditions, and no external circumstances give us the right to let our clients and partners down. This is why we've aimed to become an energy-independent company. With our in-house renewable energy sources, we can provide electricity for our logistics needs and reduce the load on the national mains grid in times of shortage,»
— commented Volodymyr Popereshniuk, co-owner of Nova Post.
Since 2022, when Russia initiated missile attacks on Ukraine's energy system, Nova Post has ensured the uninterrupted operation of its branches and sorting hubs with generators with a total capacity of 36 MW. However, the company chose to go a step further and install SPPs and cogeneration gas piston units with a total capacity of 10 MW to boost its energy autonomy.
To recap, in 2024, Nova Energy was established as part of the NOVA Group (Nova Post) to ensure the fuel and energy independence of the group's companies. Currently, the company is already active in the wholesale fuel market with plans to enter the electricity supply market in the future.
