Advantages
The invoiced value is the declared value of the contents of the shipment, which must correspond to the data in the invoice and the actual value of the goods. It is used to calculate customs duties, taxes, and other fees that may be applied when importing a shipment into the destination country.
What can be sent
- Clothes, shoes, second-hand items, stuffed animals, LEGOs, educational toys
- Electronics and small household appliances
- Cosmetic products: nail polishes, hair dyes, cosmetic lotions
- Household chemicals on whose labels the name of the manufacturing company and the composition are given
- Information discs or flash drives without passwords
What can't be sent
- Dangerous goods: weapons, flammable liquids and solids, substances in pressurized cylinders, gases, deodorants
- Art objects: paintings, stamps, antique books, icons
- Jewelry and precious metals
- If, during the inspection of the shipment, a customs officer finds goods that are not accepted for transportation, the parcel will be returned at the sender's expense

After the shipment, we send a message to the recipient about the registration of the package and the calculation of the payment: by SMS, Viber or e-mail.

Calculation example
The item costs €200. Customs payments will be:
- import duty = (€200 - €150) x 10% = €5
- VAT = (€200 - €150 + €5) x 20% = €11
Total tax payable: €5 + €11 = €16
This may happen if the customs officer found a violation:
- The contents of the shipment differ from the list specified in the declaration
- The invoiced value differs from the real value
- The parcel contains goods that are not accepted for transportation
- In the last month, the recipient has already received international shipments, with a total invoiced value of more than €150.

❗To avoid customs duties and VAT, goods imported into Ukraine must be declared under certain HS codes.
What is needed to send a parcel from Estonia
- Provide information about the sender and recipient. To do so, write in Latin:
- Surname
- Name
- Email
- Phone number
- Branch number or full address of the recipient in Ukraine
- Hand over the shipment to the branch operator in an open form.
In accordance with the requirements of international transportation, Nova Post employees have to check the contents for goods that are not accepted for transportation.
If the shipment is packaged, the operator must open it. Original packaging is an exception. - Pay for delivery and additional services you've chosen: for example, if you've decided to choose packaging.
