What can be sent

  • Food in factory packing with a total weight up to 10 kg
  • Cosmetic products: nail polishes, hair dyes, cosmetic lotions
  • Household chemical agents and cleaning agents provided that the manufacturer and ingredients are indicated on the packing
  • New batteries and storage cells (except for lead acid ones) in factory packing with closed contacts
  • Digital storage devices or flash drives without passwords

What you can't send

  • Dangerous goods: weapons, flammable liquids and solids, aerosols, gases and deodorants
  • Works of art: paintings, stamps, antique books, icons
  • Foodstuffs made of animal products, as well as food products which require specific temperature or products which perish quickly
  • Jewelry and precious metals
  • If, during the inspection of the shipment, a customs officer finds goods that are not accepted for transportation, the parcel will be returned at the sender's expense

When the item is received for shipment, we will send the recipient a message via SMS, Viber or email about the parcel registration and payments.

Postal item customs clearance in Ukraine

  • Parcel value: up to €150

    No taxes are charged

  • Parcel value: over €150

Calculation example

The goods cost €200. The total customs payments will be:

    import duty = (€200 - €150) × 10% = €5 
  • 2
    VAT = (€200 - €150 + €5) × 20% = €11

Total tax charged: €5 + €11 = €16

Postal item customs clearance in Moldova

  • Parcel value: up to €150

    No taxes are charged

  • Parcel value: over €150

    • 1
      Import duty: 0–30% of the declared value
    • 2
      VAT: 20% of the value of the item

Calculation example:

The goods cost €200. The total customs payments will be:

    import duty = (€200 - €150) × 10% = €5

    VAT = (€200 - €150 + €5) × 20% = €11

Total tax charged: €5 + €11 = €16

The customs house is entitled to refuse entry into the country of a postal item or change the customs payment amount

This may occur if a customs officer finds a violation:

    the postal item content differs from the list indicated in the declaration
  • 2
    the declared value differs from the actual value
  • 3
    the parcel contains a commercial batch: more than 3 identical goods were sent (e.g., 5 watches, 4 pairs of shoes, etc.)
  • 4
    the parcel contains goods that are not accepted for transportation

How to ship a parcel from a branch

The parcel is to be given to the branch operator in an open format.

In accordance with the requirements of international transportation, Nova Post employees have to check the contents for goods that are not accepted for transportation.

If the parcel is packed, the operator has the right to open it. The only exception is for factory packed items.

What is needed to send a shipment from Romania

    Prepare the items.

    Ensure that the items in the parcel are permitted for shipment.

    Prepare information about the sender and receiver. Write in Latin letters:
