Nova Post has launched a second solar power plant covering an area of 3,000 square meters

Nova Post keeps installing solar power plants (SPPs) at its terminals, as reported by the company on its Telegram channel.
The company's second 700-kW SPP was installed at another Kyiv terminal. Panels cover 3,000 square meters and the project cost UAH 13.5 million.
Soon, Nova Post is going to install the next batch of solar power plants, doubling its current capacity from 700 to 1,400 kW.
The plants will be running at their full capacity in summer to meet 100% of the terminals' electricity demand during the day.
As the terminals are operating around the clock, Nova Post has also invested in energy storage units (ESUs). The ESU will store the previously accumulated electricity and deliver it to the enterprise network or even to an external network as needed.
The company expects to install power plants and ESUs at five major terminals in Ukraine, and three of them have already commenced the process. Over the past years, Nova Post has invested UAH 300 million in energy autonomy, while this year it intends to spend another UAH 150 million. This way, the company will cut its dependence on centralized power supply and promote the development of clean energy in the country.
Earlier, the first SPP was launched at the KIT terminal at the beginning of 2024. The operational experience over these months has revealed that on sunny winter days it operates up to 35% of its capacity. On a gloomy winter day, the peak generation capacity is up to 17% of the SPP's rated capacity.
