How to call a courier in the Czech Republic

1. Prepare the items to be sent and pack them into the box. We have prepared a short guide for you at the link: how to pack a parcel properly.

2. Fill out an application for a courier pickup:

4. Hand a courier the packed parcel. The courier will print and stick a sticker on your box.
When the courier picks up the shipment
The parcels are picked up by couriers of the GLS partner company on weekdays from 8.00 to 17.00. The arrival time depends on the time of application:
- Time of application
Mon - Fri until 17:00
Sat - Sun after 17:00
- When the courier arrives
on the next business day
on the 2nd business day after the application is submitted
After submitting the application, you will receive the date of the courier's arrival to the specified e-mail.
After the courier picks up your shipment, you can track the delivery in Nova Post tracking.
- How to get an invoice for online payment
Send your request to inna.babak@novapost.com.
In your request, please specify:
- 1Name of the organization.
- 2Legal address of the organization.
- 3IC, DIC.
- 4Phone number.
- 5Email address.
- 6Payment information: shipment number, date and amount of payment.
Invoice delivery time: 1-3 days after sending the request.

In a parcel locker
To receive the postal item, the recipient needs to have
- express consignment note (ECN) serial number
- original passport of a citizen of Ukraine or international passport – or phone with the number indicated in the ECN
Advantages
The courier accepts shipments up to 30 kg.
Larger parcels should be sent and picked up at Nova Post cargo branches.
The courier neither helps to lift and lower the cargo nor wraps the parcels.
The customer must do it alone.
According to the company's rules, the courier can stay at the address no longer than 15 minutes.
Please prepare the parcel in advance to avoid delaying the courier.
Important information on postal item customs clearance in Ukraine
- The invoiced value of the parcel: up to €150
No additional taxes for parcels containing gifts, goods or personal items
- The invoiced value of the parcel: over €150
- Import duty: 10% of the excess of €150
- VAT: 20% of the invoiced value of the shipment (over €150 + import duty)
Calculation example
The goods cost €200. The total customs payments will be:
- import duty = (€200 - €150) × 10 % = €5
- VAT = (€200 - €150 + €5) × 20% = €11
Total tax charged: €5 + €11 = €16
Examples of declared value calculation for deliveries to Ukraine

EXAMPLE 1
I am sending my sister a jacket, a portable speaker and her driving license.
The jacket costs €50, and the portable speaker costs €35. The total price is €85.
Customs duties will not be charged.
EXAMPLE 2
I am selling clothes to a buyer in Ukraine.
All items are new, with price tags and in original packaging, but the total invoiced value is less than €150.
Customs duties will not be charged.
EXAMPLE 3
I am sending my daughter a suitcase of her personal items: dresses, pullovers, shoes and make-up products.
All items are personal, but their total invoiced value is more than €150.
Customs duties will not be charged.
