Key legislative regulations
Starting from January 1, 2024, new rules on the clearance of international postal parcels came into effect.
- Duty-free exemption for parcels under €150
According to Article 219 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Moldova, parcels with a declared value of up to €150 are exempt from customs duties.
- Parcels sent between individuals
According to Article 221 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Moldova, goods sent by one individual to another may be exempt from customs duties only if all legal conditions are met.
- Mandatory H6 electronic declaration (from August 1, 2024)
For parcels valued up to €1000, individuals must submit the H6 electronic customs declaration. This can be done:
- Through a broker (for a service fee)
- Individually via the Asycuda World system (requires an electronic signature)
- Customs clearance of identical goods
If within 7 days you receive multiple parcels with identical goods:
- Starting from the second parcel, all are subject to customs clearance regardless of value.
- If several parcels arrive on the same day, they will all be subject to customs clearance.
