- Exemption from Customs Duties for Parcels up to €150
Shipments worth up to €150 are exempt from customs duties under Article 219 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Moldova No. 95.
- Exemption for Parcels Sent to Moldova Between Individuals
Goods sent from one individual to another may be exempt from customs duties only if all the requirements outlined in Article 221 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Moldova are met.
- Mandatory H6 Declaration for Parcels Valued up to €1 000
Since August 1, 2024, all individuals receiving international parcels in Moldova that are subject to customs declaration must file an electronic customs declaration H6. This can be done in two ways:
- Through a broker, for a fee
- Individually, by obtaining access to the Asycuda World system and completing the declaration.
Customs Clearance for Identical Goods
If a person receives more than two parcels containing the same goods through different postal channels within 7 days, such parcels, starting with the second one, shall be subject to customs clearance regardless of the invoiced value of the shipment. If several parcels arrive on the same day, they shall also be subject to customs clearance.
Calculation example:
The goods cost €300. The total customs payments will be:
- Import duty = €300 × 10% = €30
- VAT = €300 + €30) × 20% = €66
The recipient needs to pay the following tax: €30 + €66 = €96
This may occur if a customs officer finds a violation:
- the postal item content differs from the list indicated in the declaration
- the declared value differs from the actual one
- the parcel contains goods that are not accepted for transportation.
Nova Post is not responsible for any changes to customs regulations or delivery conditions established by third parties.
