Payment by the Recipient: Worry-free delivery
This is a handy option allowing the Sender to make an international express shipment and assign the delivery cost to the Recipient.
You, as a Sender, can manage your logistics costs more efficiently by informing and agreeing on the delivery cost with the recipient in advance.
How does it work
- Defining the payer of logistics services: The Sender must inform the Recipient and obtain consent to pay for logistics services in favor of the Nova Post Group of Companies with the currency of the country of receipt.
- Creating a shipment: The Sender shall create a shipment as usual, specifying all the necessary data for an international shipment.
- Selecting a payer: When registering a shipment, choose the “Payment by the Recipient” option.
- Delivery: Your parcel will be delivered to a branch in the country of the NP's presence.
- Payment: The Recipient shall pay all delivery-related costs in the mobile app or at the branch upon receipt of the parcel.
- Pickup: The Recipient can pick up the parcel at the NP branch.

The eCom Solution partner sends letters to customers, collects powers of attorney, and receives payments from customers for customs brokerage services. The partner handles this process through the EASY IMPORT portal.
Why is this necessary
This is a mandatory step for clearing customs. Without a power of attorney from the recipient, we cannot complete the customs clearance of the shipment.
Here’s how the process works for the customer
The customer has 7 days to complete this; otherwise, the shipment will be returned to Ukraine
- Letter: The customer receives an email from eCom Solution with a link to the portal.
- Authorization: Using the link (and PIN code), the customer fills out the form: full name in Latin characters and registered address in Germany.
- Payment: After providing the authorization, the customer receives a link to pay the service fee of €3,15
Important: Payment is online only
Calculation example:
The goods cost €300. The customs payments will total:
- import duty = €300 × 12% = €36
- VAT = (€300 + €36) × 19% = €63,84
Tax charged to the recipient: €36 + €63,84 = €99,84
This can happen if a customs officer detects a breach of the rules:
- The contents differ from the list specified in the declaration.
- The invoiced value differs from the real value.
- In the last month, the recipient has already received international shipments with a total invoiced value of more than €45.
