Increase in Scams Involving the Nova Post Brand in Moldova
We have recently observed a rise in fraudulent calls and messages from individuals posing as Nova Post employees. Their goal is to deceive you into handing over your personal and financial information.
These scammers may call customers claiming there are fake fines, blocked parcels, or an urgent need to pay for additional services. They might also ask you to read out SMS verification codes, send photos of your ID, or provide your bank card details.
Nova Post strictly emphasizes that we never ask for SMS codes, PINs, CVV numbers, or passwords. We do not demand urgent money transfers, nor do we threaten customers with fines.
Please stay vigilant. If you receive a suspicious call or message:
- do not share any personal details or confirmation codes;
- do not click on unknown links in text messages or messenger apps;
- hang up or end the conversation immediately;
- report it to law enforcement.
If you are contacted by someone claiming to work for Nova Post and their requests seem suspicious, please report it to our customer support team:
We also strongly recommend reporting such incidents to the Moldovan police.
