Nova Post opened a new logistics terminal in Moldova
Nova Post has opened a new logistics terminal near Chișinău, the company's largest logistics hub in Moldova. With a processing capacity of up to 10,000 parcels per hour and a total area of 3,800 m², the new terminal brings together all key logistics operations under one roof — from parcel sorting to customs clearance.
The new terminal operates 24/7 and provides a full range of logistics services, including centralized parcel sorting, customs clearance, sorting for courier deliveries, and processing shipments for parcel locker deliveries. For customer convenience the premises also operates a cargo branch №25, which handles shipments weighing over 30 kg.
The terminal currently processes an average of 35,000 parcels per day, while its recent record reached 80,000 shipments in a single day. It handles all types of shipments, including documents, parcels, and oversized cargo, for both domestic deliveries within Moldova and international shipments.
In addition, Nova Post has launched its first fulfillment hub in Moldova at the terminal. The new facility is setting a new standard for e-commerce logistics in the country: orders placed by 1:00 a.m. are delivered anywhere in Moldova by the following morning. Symbolically, one of the fulfillment hub's first clients is a Ukrainian brand that has entered the Moldovan market and is using Nova Post's services to support its international expansion.
«Shipment volumes in Moldova continue to grow steadily, and consolidating all logistics operations in one location has enabled us to meet this growing demand much more efficiently. As a result, we have reduced the average delivery time by two hours. The new terminal has also accelerated our logistics operations: line-haul trucks on intercity routes now depart twice a day, while deliveries to our branches are dispatched every 2.5 hours. We invested €800,000 in the new terminal because we see it as an investment in speed and reliability for every customer in Moldova», — comments Serhii Shapran, CEO of Nova Post in Moldova.
The company plans to continue expanding its logistics infrastructure in Moldova, including the launch of a new sorting center in Bălți.
