Nova Post Reminds You About Digital Safety Rules and Personal Data Protection
In light of a large-scale personal data breach in Moldova and an increased frequency of fraud cases, we urge our clients to remain particularly vigilant.
Scammers in possession of real citizen data may impersonate representatives of government agencies, banks, or service companies using phone calls, SMS, and messaging apps.
To keep yourself safe:
📍Check the website address. We have only one official website — https://novapost.com/ro-md/. Carefully check every character in the address bar.
📍Do not click on links from strangers in messaging apps. They may lead to phishing pages or contain viruses and malware.
📍Do not install third-party applications via links or files from strangers, and under no circumstances link your bank cards to them. Download services only from official stores (Google Play, App Store).
📍Never share your personal details with anyone: one-time passwords, PIN codes, card CVV codes, and SMS confirmation codes.
📍Act quickly if you have already clicked a link: immediately change passwords for all key accounts (email, personal accounts, apps), block the compromised card with your bank, and scan your device with an antivirus.
📍Report to law enforcement agencies. If you have fallen victim to scammers, immediately contact the Moldovan Police (at 112) or file a report with the Cybercrime Division. Your report will help protect other citizens.
Nova Post emphasizes: company employees never request SMS codes, PIN codes, bank card CVV codes, or passwords from clients, nor do they make calls via messaging apps.
We care about your safety, so please report any fraud cases involving our brand to us by phone at +373 22 855 969 or via email at support_md@novapost.com
