The invoiced value is the declared value of the contents of the shipment, which must correspond to the data in the invoice and the actual value of the goods. It is used to calculate customs duties, taxes, and other fees that may be applied when importing a shipment into the destination country.

You can ship 1 piece of baggage per shipping label

A small parcel with books and garments requires 1 baggage piece in a cargo vehicle. A large parcel over 64 cm wide requires more space.

The branch operator can advise you on the exact number of baggage pieces your shipment requires.

Items allowed to send

  • Food products up to 10 kg in original packaging
  • Pre-owned items, soft toys, construction sets, educational toys
  • Electronics and minor household appliances
  • Beauty products: nail polishes, hair dyes, cosmetic lotions
  • Household chemicals with labels indicating the name of the manufacturer and composition
  • Storage disks or flash drives with no passwords

Items prohibited to send

  • Hazardous goods: weapons, flammable liquids and solids, substances in pressurized cylinders, gases, and deodorants
  • Art pieces: paintings, stamps, antique books, and icons
  • Jewelry and precious metals
  • Medicines
  • Commercial shipments: parcels containing over 3 types of identical goods. For example: 5 phones, 4 pairs of shoes
  • If a customs officer finds prohibited goods when inspecting a shipment, the parcel will be returned at the sender's expense

Once the parcel is sent, we will notify the recipient of the parcel's processing.

The shipment cost depends on the weight and delivery method. Check your possible rate on the "Shipping costs" page.

Customs clearance in Ukraine

  • Invoice value of the parcel: up to €150

    No additional taxes are charged

Calculation example

The product costs €200. Customs duties will be as follows:

  • Import duty = (€200 - €150) х 10% = €5
  • VAT = (€200 - €150 + €5) х 20% = €11

Total tax payable: €5 + €11 = €16

Examples of customs payments accrual

  • Example 1

    I am sending my sister a jacket, a portable speaker and her driver's license.

    Invoice value of the jacket - €50, the portable speaker €35. Total value is €85.

    Customs fees will not be charged.

Customs reserves the right to refuse a shipment or change the amount of customs duties

This can happen if a customs officer detects a breach of the rules:

  • The shipment's contents differ from the list specified in the declaration
  • The invoiced value differs from the real value.
  • The recipient has already received international shipments with a total value over €150 during the last month.

    1. Electric generators

      Gasoline engine generators with a capacity exceeding 7.5 kVA (electric generator sets with a spark-ignition piston engine)

      AC generators with a capacity exceeding 750 kVA (synchronous generators), except for photoelectric generators

    2. Power inverters, rectifiers, converters

    • Product

      Inverters, rectifiers, converters (except for inverter welding machines

    3. Lithium batteries

    • Product

      • Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity from 200 Ah (Li-ion, LiFePO4, LiFe, LFP, etc.),
      • Charging stations with a capacity exceeding 300 W (power storage units)

    4.  Turbines and other engines

    • Product

      Water steam turbines and other steam turbines

      Hydraulic turbines, water wheels, and regulators thereof (hydraulic turbines and their parts only)

      Hydraulic transmission shafts

      Turbojet engines, turboprop, and other gas turbines (except for turboprop and turbojet engines and parts thereof)

What you need to send a parcel from Poland

You can call a courier to certain location or send from the branch.

Courier arrival time: from 1 business day following the date of the order

How to send a parcel from the branch

  2. Provide information about the sender and recipient. To do so, write in Latin:
    • Surname
    • Name
    • Email
    • Phone number
    • Branch number or full address of the recipient in Ukraine
  4. Hand over the shipment to the branch operator in an open form.

    According to international transportation requirements, Nova Post employees must check the contents for any prohibited goods.

    If the shipment is packaged, the operator must open it. Original packaging is an exception.
  5. Pay for delivery services.

How to send from the pickup point

  1. Prepare the items and ensure that the contents of the shipment are allowed for transportation
  2. Choose the point on the map you want to send from
  3. Arrange the shipment in the mobile app or personal account to receive an electronic express waybill
  4. There is no packaging at the pickup point, so pack the shipment yourself
  5. Pay for the shipment
  6. Provide the EW number and the parcel to the employee of the pickup point
